A week left to respond to the European Commission on the future of Copyright

Posted on

The European Commission has launched a consultation regarding the future of creative content online.

This move is a first step towards legislative action at the EU level, and the consultation could shape the nature of the upcoming debate on copyright reform.

In the next days, la Quadrature du Net will submit a position paper in response to the Commission’s reflection document and urges other civil society organization to do the same. Citizens and civil rights advocacy groups must make their voices heard in this important process so that progressive ideas on the future of copyright make their way to Brussels.

Submissions should be adressed before January 5th, 2010 to avpolicy@ec.europa.eu and to markt-d1@ec.europa.eu.
